About the Role

C3 AI, a leading Enterprise AI software provider, is seeking a highly qualified Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales and alliances organizations on commercial engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commercial Transaction Management: Draft, analyze, negotiate, and complete complex commercial transactions with our enterprise customers and strategic partners.
  2. Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with our product, sales, and services teams to achieve key business objectives and drive growth.
  3. Process Improvement: Assist in improving and implementing the use of templates, 'playbooks,' and policies to enhance our commercial operations.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: JD from a top law school and active membership in at least one U.S. State bar. 6+ years of related experience, including 3+ years at a premier law firm.
  2. Skills and Qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Deep substantive knowledge of enterprise software, SaaS, PaaS, and other software licensing and distribution, strategic alliances, channel sales and distribution models, intellectual property, and open source.
