Job Summary

The County of San Diego is seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team. As a Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of public works improvement projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and construction of public works improvement projects
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects meet the needs of the community
  • Develop and implement construction plans and schedules
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
  • At least six years of experience in construction engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
