Job Overview

JRM Construction Management is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our high-end commercial general contracting projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring proper site safety, and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily field operations, including site safety, construction progress, quality control, and housekeeping.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and direct supervision of site staff, including assistant superintendents, laborers, and other construction-related personnel.
  • Manage project schedules, including weekly preparation of a two-week look ahead.
  • Proactively schedule and coordinate subcontractors to ensure project completion in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
  • Ensure assigned job site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Maintain an effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the project direction.
  • Work in partnership with project management to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects project status and meets cost and time requirements.
  • Run weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings.
  • Manage the RFI process, including creation of and suggestions on solutions to site issues and tracking them through closeout.
  • Exceed client expectations by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture.
  • Continuously promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
  • Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all issues are addressed and executed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the close-out process and warranty responses with the project manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least five years of relevant experience as a Superintendent, preferably in the interior, high-end commercial general contracting.
  • Proven record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces.
  • Capable of managing/coordinating multiple quick turnaround projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications.
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate.
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.
Computer Systems
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project, and Procore (preferred but not required).
Salary Information
  • The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
