Position Overview

SAIC is looking for a Program Operations Lead to oversee a significant federal government initiative. Reporting to the overall Project Manager, this role will be responsible for managing the effectiveness of a specific service area within a broader program.

This position operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence from Tuesday to Thursday. However, the employee may need to be onsite more frequently and provide support outside of regular hours during planned or emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a 24/7 team of technicians across three shifts, delivering support for a global IT infrastructure at the enterprise level.
  • Accountable for managing costs, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee scheduling, define specific roles and responsibilities, monitor team performance, and implement feedback and corrective action plans.
  • Set operational goals and work plans in collaboration with government leadership, delegating tasks to team members.

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Proven experience managing a team of 20 or more program personnel, including direct labor, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong background in personnel management, with the ability to cultivate leadership and management skills through mentoring and feedback.
  • Capability to escalate program challenges to management for resolution. Contribute to corporate processes such as performance evaluations, compensation discussions, and staffing recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently while being regularly assessed for sound judgment and overall quality of work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, professionalism, and accountability.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Risk Management expertise.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Understanding of Technology Business Management (TBM).
  • Experience with ISO-2000 or equivalent standards.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when working at a customer location.
