Automation Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Konecranes. As an Automation Engineer, you will work closely with our Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization groups to implement software and hardware solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customize crane controls using existing software modules and standards from global automation engineering for various applications.
  • Support the factory acceptance, commissioning, and life cycle of our customer's material handling equipment in ETO and the Modernization groups.
  • Report improvement findings to the Manager, Automation Engineering.
  • Monitor suppliers of automation peripheral equipment and develop replacement solutions as needed.
  • Participate in resolving control/software/automation problems by working with other engineers and service technicians.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of programming experience in Siemens PLC platform and Siemens HMI programming.
  • Knowledge of setting up variable frequency drives and control systems for material handling devices.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
