PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role involves engineering modernizations for crane control systems, focusing on all electrical design tasks, hardware selection, program development, and implementation for electric overhead and portal cranes across the Americas region.

Expertise in Product Lines including Legacy, EOT, and Portal Cranes.Engineering design, testing, and commissioning of crane control systems.Conduct engineering tasks following established protocols, including component selection, schematic design, system layout, automation control programming, and documentation.Create system architecture and automation network diagrams.Manage project planning, scheduling, design execution, and budget adherence from inquiry to start-up.Test and troubleshoot control systems.EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years in Electrical or Automation engineering, particularly with motion and motor control products, is preferred. Experience in designing and troubleshooting motor control circuits using electromagnetic devices and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is advantageous. Familiarity with PLC programming software is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be adept at interpreting electrical schematics and vendor application drawings.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding of electrical systems, motor control circuits, and analog-digital input/output is preferred. Proficiency in various software packages, operating systems, and control equipment is essential. Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, E3, and Microsoft Office is required. The ability to communicate effectively with sales teams, customers, production planning, and project management is crucial. Site visits for application and commissioning will require the ability to work at heights up to 100 feet. Travel is estimated at 15% for customer meetings, equipment commissioning, and product testing at our manufacturing facility.
Hybrid schedule - Work one day from home OR every other Friday off if you work 9 hours per day.
