Position Overview

The incumbent will act as a key technical authority and represent the Program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer.

This role encompasses responsibilities of considerable scope and complexity, necessitating subject matter expertise and high-level interaction with external organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the PMO lead engineer in managing and developing a proficient technical workforce.
  • Develop reference models for the enterprise and maintain comprehensive information within the IT repository.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing enterprise-level systems to bolster business processes and leverage emerging technologies.
  • Document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, encompassing business units and critical processes, utilizing modeling techniques.
  • Ensure strict adherence to information security and assurance policies across all components of the enterprise architecture.
  • Incorporate existing technology roadmaps into diagrams and architecture as necessary.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teams regarding technology roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities for conducting technology pilots and assessments to support existing capabilities.
Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days following retirement to a civilian position is subject to specific provisions.

Qualifications:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must include:

  • Coordinating efforts of IT technical area experts.
  • Providing enterprise architecture support to customers and IT project teams.
  • Ensuring application of information security and assurance policies.
  • Recommending new equipment, configurations, system enhancements, or technological changes to improve system cost-effectiveness and user productivity.
  • Participating in test planning, validation, and reviews.

Additional Information:

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Relocation incentives may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. Several vacancies may be filled.
