Position Overview

The incumbent will act as a pivotal technical authority and represent the Program Management Office (PMO) as the lead engineer.

This role encompasses significant responsibilities that require extensive subject matter expertise and high-level interactions with external organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the PMO lead engineer in managing and developing a highly skilled technical workforce.
  • Develop and maintain reference models of the enterprise within the IT repository.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enterprise-level systems to enhance business processes and leverage emerging technologies.
  • Document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including business units and key processes, utilizing modeling techniques.
  • Ensure strict adherence to information security and assurance policies across all components of the enterprise architecture.
  • Incorporate existing technology roadmaps into architectural diagrams as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to customers and IT project teams regarding technology roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities for conducting technology pilots and assessments to support existing capabilities.
Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • New hires will be required to pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

All candidates must complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment. A Secret security clearance must be obtained and maintained prior to commencing duties.

This position may require travel to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and candidates must be capable of traveling on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must include:

  • Coordinating efforts among IT technical experts.
  • Providing enterprise architecture support to clients and IT project teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with information security policies and practices.
  • Recommending equipment, configurations, and enhancements to improve system effectiveness and user productivity.
  • Participating in test planning, validation, and reviews.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program, and relocation incentives may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations.
