The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring timely processing of payments to vendors, service providers, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the monthly financial close and financial statement preparation processes
- Maintaining payment terms for most vendors and reducing credit holds
- Setting up policies and procedures for the Accounts Payable Department
- Monitoring expenditures to minimize exposure to the NYS Office of Unclaimed Funds
- Providing continuous training to operating departments on transaction completion
- Performing other duties as needed
Qualifications include:
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with basic Accounting functions
- Quality Management capabilities
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
