About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director to lead our team in maintaining a profitable and healthy business with Walmart. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Coty brand strategies and product portfolios, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define short and long-term strategic goals and build key customer relationships to identify business opportunities within the customer base.
  • Train and lead account managers to sell, implement, and evaluate business plans to meet or exceed financial objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Coty Brands, including strategies, priorities, and product portfolios.
  • Create and deliver compelling brand and category stories for the customer to sell-in new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customer marketing, sales, creative, supply chain, finance, media, influencer marketing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the team in forecasting and planning existing base, display, and new business opportunities.
  • Accountability of development and execution of all presentations for major customer meetings.
  • Management of short-term and long-term business results.
  • Delivering upon volume, share, and ROI targets.
  • Driving distribution, shelving, pricing, and promotion support to optimize spend.
  • Identification and activation of fact-based sales opportunities.
  • Accurately forecasting the business and proactively alerting HQ of major shifts in the business.
  • Stewarding trade funds by delivering appropriate ROI's and minimizing customer invalid deductions.
  • Budget/P&L management.
Requirements

  • Adept financial acumen around P&L management.
  • Education: 4-year bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 8-10 year CPG experience in account management and sales strategy.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Nielsen; CPG Analytics.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
