Job Title: ELA Interventionist

About the Role

We are seeking a Certified ELA Interventionist to join our team. As an ELA Interventionist, you will provide focused reading intervention instruction to students in small groups and one-on-one settings through push-in and pullout for the purpose of improving student outcomes and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted reading instruction to students in need of additional support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Participate in professional growth activities to stay current on best practices in reading instruction.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families in an urban education environment.
  • Coordinate knowledge of content, of students, and of resources to design a series of learning experiences aligned to instructional outcomes and suitability to groups of students.
  • Cultivate a learning environment that promotes cultural relevance, diversity of thinking, diversity of learning, and respect for all people (students and adults).
  • Create a safe learning environment that is able to establish clear and high expectations for learning.
  • Ensure instructional decisions are based on analysis of student-level data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Teacher Certification.
  • Reading Specialist Certification is strongly recommended.
