Job Description

At SPIN, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families in a variety of settings. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance a nurturing, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children and their families, promoting full participation in their inclusive community across all settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly support children and their families in various settings.
  • Coordinate the assessment process, gathering information on all developmental areas and informing families about what to expect.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized plans for each child.
  • Educate team members, co-workers, and community members about individualized plans, maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Utilize equipment, activities, and opportunities tailored to each child's developmental levels and learning styles.
  • Participate in team reviews of child outcomes, maintaining accurate records, collecting and evaluating data, and submitting records in a timely manner.
  • Discuss findings and recommendations with the team, following up on results as necessary.
  • Complete required training, education, and certification in accordance with SPIN and OCDEL.

Requirements:

  • Current PA license (therapist)
  • Bachelor's degree in a child care-related field (special instructor)
  • Experience working with young children with developmental delays and their families
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and willingness to travel the Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Delaware County areas

Additional Requirements:

  • Copy of professional liability
  • Copy of social security card
  • Copy of health appraisal and Mantoux test results dated within 12 months of start date
  • Current Pennsylvania criminal history record check, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint-based criminal history record check, and PA Child Abuse history clearance
  • Copy of completed Mandated Reporter training
  • Tax form W-9 and subcontractors certificate of non-indebtedness to the City of Philadelphia
