Job Summary

Elwyn is seeking a skilled Adult Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our Crisis Intervention and Stabilization Team (CIST). As a member of this team, you will provide intensive therapeutic services to adults in home and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop individualized resiliency plans, assessing strengths and therapeutic needs, and involving natural supports as treatment team members when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and case managers to identify necessary family support services and develop plans to obtain them.
  • Use evidence-based services, such as crisis intervention techniques, to support clients.
  • Provide person-centered, individual psychotherapy, as agreed upon with clients, in support of resiliency plans.
  • Respond to crisis situations using agency-trained protocols and make referrals to community services as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensed mental health clinician, psychologist, licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed social worker (LSW), or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).
  • OR Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, with at least 12 credit hours in core behavioral health coursework.
  • At least one year of verified post-Masters experience providing psychotherapy/counseling to adults, or waived for licensed clinicians.
  • Bilingual (written and oral) in the predominant secondary language in the region, preferred.
