Healthcare Administrative Associate

The Medical Office Associate plays a crucial role in managing the front office operations within a healthcare environment. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring a seamless experience for patients and supporting the clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitates patient appointment scheduling and ensures efficient check-in/check-out processes.
- Utilizes electronic medical record systems to transcribe orders and manage referrals.
- Oversees the online appointment request portal and coordinates physical therapy scheduling.
- Processes patient estimates, collects co-pays, and manages upfront balances.
- Maintains EPIC work queues, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of tasks.
- Handles departmental phone communications and manages appointment reminders.
- Orders and maintains office and clinical supplies to support daily operations.
- Assists patients in resolving issues related to scheduling, registration, and insurance inquiries.
Customer Service Excellence: Delivers outstanding service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
Training and Compliance: Completes all mandatory training programs and adheres to insurance responsibilities as required.
Communication: Maintains effective communication with supervisors and colleagues, ensuring timely updates and correspondence.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a healthcare administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with computerized scheduling and electronic medical record systems is advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
