About the Role

Haven Staffing Solutions Corp is seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Planning and Management Specialist to join our team. As an Event Planning and Management Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing development events, managing staff at events, coordinating across departments, and ensuring events are carried out successfully.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Management: Work closely with the Senior Manager of Events and Communications to plan and execute development events, including conferences, donor engagement events, advisory board meetings, local parlor meetings, missions, and retreats.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage the event budget, allocate funds, monitor expenses, and ensure the event stays within budget.
  • Liaising with Vendors and Staff: Liaise with vendors, and staff, negotiate contracts, and build relationships.
  • Communications: Partner with Ideas division to implement vast digital communications, help manage multiple departmental calendars, coordinate and support direct mail campaigns, and develop, organize, and manage development assets.
  • Development Division Support: Attend key development meetings, help maintain accurate portfolio data, assist with donor prospecting and research, support the development team in various stewardship and cultivation activities, and partner with the Data division on various reporting and donor database projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree
  • Skills: Strong attention to details, project management experience, advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, interpersonal and relationship management skills, and strong ability to prioritize and navigate multiple large projects/events.
  • Availability: Consistent availability on weeknights and weekends.
