Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Inventory, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions within Equiliem. This position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory documentation and managing accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Ensure precise tracking of inventory levels, including quantities, valuations, and storage locations.
  • Accounting Transactions: Execute all accounting activities related to inventory cycles, such as inventory transfers, receiving goods, processing vendor invoices, calculating landed costs, and making necessary inventory adjustments.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct month-end reconciliations of inventory-related general ledger accounts, including in-transit inventory, accrued purchases, and landed costs; investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate inventory-related financial reports, including reconciliations, valuations, and turnover analyses.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for all inventory-related audit inquiries, including external audits and asset-based lending facilities.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to uncover trends, variances, and areas for enhancement.
Accounts Payable Oversight:
  • Invoice Processing: Accurately and efficiently process vendor invoices, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and timely payments.
  • Team Management: Provide daily oversight of the accounts payable support team.
  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Aging Reports: Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports to ensure timely payments and foster positive vendor relationships.
  • Profit-Sharing Calculations: Conduct monthly calculations related to profit-sharing agreements with vendors.
  • Expense Management: Oversee the employee travel and expense reimbursement system.
  • Closing Activities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable and accrued expenses.
  • Tax Information Management: Organize and maintain tax documentation relevant to federal, state, and international filings.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiencies.
Treasury Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow Monitoring: Track cash flow forecasts and prepare weekly payment proposals for review by the Controller or CFO.
  • Payment Processing: Manage the processing of ACH and wire payments in the general ledger.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Prepare and maintain various analyses as requested.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an accounting role
Preferred Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Great Plains, experience in the pharmaceutical industry, advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables), strong general ledger expertise, analytical mindset, self-motivated, and a collaborative personality.

Work Hours

Standard working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM.
