ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (STARLINK)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage the processes and products related to printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) for in-house manufacturing. Lead initiatives for high-volume production of PCBA, encompassing manufacturing execution, management of nonconforming products, configuration oversight, traceability tracking, and process regulation. Facilitate the introduction of new PCBA products, collaborating closely with design engineers and process specialists. Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and training materials. Monitor schedules, work-in-progress metrics, and defect rates for managed products. Identify trends and opportunities for enhancing product output, quality improvements, and manufacturability cost reductions. Initiate corrective actions and process enhancements for managed processes and products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, industrial, electrical, or a related engineering discipline. A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in at least one of the following areas: manufacturing processes, surface mount technology (SMT), accelerated testing, design for reliability, or PCB design and layout.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in high-volume production environments (e.g., consumer goods, automotive). Practical experience in SMT processing and/or related PCBA processes from industry, research, or academic projects. Familiarity with statistical techniques and methodologies such as experimental design. Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards. Proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with basic failure analysis tools and techniques (e.g., X-ray, cross-sectioning, polishing). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data to drive systemic improvements. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay range:

Electronics Engineer/ Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Electronics Engineer/ Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year. Actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
