The Senior Vice President of Cloud Security will be accountable for the safeguarding of cloud-based systems and sensitive data throughout the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

This leadership role encompasses the development, execution, and continuous enhancement of our cloud security capabilities to mitigate existing and emerging threats.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud security experts, providing direction, training, and support.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify control and capability gaps in cloud security and application delivery technologies.
  • Formulate strategies for remediation and validation.
  • Assess and implement new technologies to reduce risks and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to embed security measures into cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Influence business goals and outcomes to ensure that information security requirements are integrated into project delivery.
  • Guarantee compliance with financial industry regulations and standards concerning cloud security.
  • Develop and maintain customized tools and scripts to meet information security needs.
  • Engage in budget planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Create security solutions to protect cloud infrastructure.
  • Communicate cloud security objectives and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a proactive stance on the latest developments and threats in cloud security.
  • Operate within a DevSecOps framework to ensure that security is automated and adaptable across all cloud platforms.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in securing both private and public cloud environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience in task automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Go.
  • 5+ years of experience in integrating security controls into DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing secure container architectures utilizing Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud security controls including CIEM, CSPM, DSPM, and IaC code security.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • Professional security management certification, such as CCSP, AWS Certified Solution Architect, or equivalent.
  • Advanced understanding of web application and API security technologies and their functionalities.
  • Capability to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud systems.
  • Proven experience in hardening complex cloud and hybrid environments.

Compensation:
Salary range: $140,000 - $234,600. Actual base salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, education, and internal peer salaries. LPL's Total Rewards package is highly competitive, designed to support your success both professionally and personally.
