Job Summary
As an Administrative Assistant at Houston Community College, you will provide critical support to our office by performing a variety of administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include providing principal support in the office by carrying out recurring office procedures, responding to special projects, and managing the supervisor's calendar. You will also be responsible for coordinating and scheduling travel for Department faculty and staff, filing correspondence, records, and other department documents, and preparing basic reports as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Functions
• Provide principal support in the office by carrying out recurring office procedures
• Respond to special projects, frequently under deadline conditions
• Manage the supervisor's calendar
• Coordinate and schedule travel for Department faculty and staff
• File correspondence, records, and other department documents
• Prepare basic reports as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years experience progressive secretarial experience required
• 3 years experience preferred
• Valid Texas Driver License
• MS Office Programs
• Information Management Systems
• Organizational & communication skills

• Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations

• Move items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Position self to operate job equipment
• Apply established protocols in a timely manner
• Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices

• May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays
