Job Title: Front Office

Job Summary:

The Front Office is responsible for providing administrative support to the Food and Beverage department. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior employees in various work in development, supervision, and evaluation of all food and beverage staff.
  • Establish and maintain sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State Laws, and CPRST system policies.
  • Responsible for assisting Food and Beverage Coordinator with concessions menu development.
  • Assist with in-service training and safety auditing program for food service staff.
  • Helps to maintain equipment within the food and beverage department.
  • Assists in maintaining system-wide inventory within the assigned facilities.
  • Maintains appropriate food safety procedures throughout the food and beverage departments.
  • Attends Health and Safety inspections conducted by Health Department and Fire Marshal as requested by the Food and Beverage Coordinator.
  • Assists Marketing Team with the assembly of Parks & Recreation Activity Guide as it relates to food service information.
  • Acts as a member of the Recreation Team for special events, programs and other activities.
  • Acts as a team member with other Parks and Recreation staff, embracing and supporting the vision and mission of the CPRST Board of Directors and the City of Cullman.
  • Assists Athletic Director and Coordinators in front office needs as required.
  • Assists in creating schedules for part-time food and beverage employees.
  • Read and analyze incoming memos, letters, and reports to determine their significance and distribute appropriately.
  • Answer and direct phone calls or take messages for appropriate parties.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, taking, and distributing meeting minutes, managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling appointments with internal and external parties, ordering supplies, sorting, and distributing correspondence and maintaining records.
  • Works a minimum of a forty-hour work week, which will likely include nights and weekends with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Personnel, and Community.
  • Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Working Environment:

The work area is well lighted, ventilated, and heated. Occasional work outdoors where there is potential to be exposed to various weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands for this position are moderately active. Walking, running, standing, bending, stooping, jumping, and carrying of moderately heavy items may be required. Must be able to routinely lift fifty pounds of weight without assistance.
