Position Overview:
As a key member of the engineering team, you will oversee all facets of mechanical engineering throughout various stages of engineering initiatives. This includes the analysis, research, design, development, fabrication, and testing of RF/Microwave devices or systems.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Guide and consult on the mechanical design aspects of high-power RF circuitry.
  • Develop reliable, manufacturable, and cost-efficient RF and Microwave designs and products.
  • Design, fabricate, modify, and assess mechanical and/or electronic apparatus.
  • Conduct structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses; prepare and lead design reviews.
  • Manage conceptual and final designs utilizing Autodesk Inventor design tools, analyze equipment to establish operational data, and perform experimental tests.
  • Provide leadership to the mechanical engineering team, offering direction, evaluating performance, and coordinating engineering functions within the department.
  • Assist the engineering management team with product development planning, prioritizing internal research and development, and exploring new technologies.
  • Evaluate team members, processes, tools, and resource needs to meet engineering and growth objectives; drive initiatives to enhance these capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Technicians, and the Purchasing Department for product/part evaluations, debugging phases, and transitioning from prototype to production.
  • Exhibit ethical and professional conduct in alignment with company values.
  • Perform additional departmental duties as necessary or as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Foster a positive work environment through professional and courteous interactions with supervisors, colleagues, clients, and vendors.

Education and Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAE programs is essential, with experience in Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS Icepack being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A proven ability to comprehend and effectively resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong people management skills with experience in coaching and developing technical talent.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities, along with excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—capable of conveying complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of RF/Microwave technology is beneficial, including EMI shielding, chip and wire experience, and high-volume/low-cost manufacturing.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
