Position Overview

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of mechanical systems and components. Your expertise will guide projects from initial concept through to manufacturing release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the complete design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, ensuring all documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Develop electronic support materials for new product lines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Research and recommend new technologies for development, overseeing their implementation.
  • Continuously assess and enhance departmental processes related to mechanical development.
  • Generate and present multiple design concepts to peers for feedback.
  • Collaborate with Document Control to ensure all design documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Design and implement testing methods to assure product quality.
  • Conduct thorough testing of finished products and systems.
  • Prepare detailed product reports by analyzing trends and summarizing findings.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot existing designs for potential improvements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical design principles and high-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks being preferred.
  • Experience with electronic packaging and regulatory compliance.
  • A strong understanding of FEA and FMEA methodologies.
