Position OverviewAs a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of mechanical systems and components. Your expertise will guide projects from initial concept through to manufacturing release.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the complete design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, ensuring all documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
- Develop electronic support materials for new product lines.
- Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Research and recommend new technologies for development, overseeing their implementation.
- Continuously assess and enhance departmental processes related to mechanical development.
- Generate and present multiple design concepts to peers for feedback.
- Collaborate with Document Control to ensure all design documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Design and implement testing methods to assure product quality.
- Conduct thorough testing of finished products and systems.
- Prepare detailed product reports by analyzing trends and summarizing findings.
- Investigate and troubleshoot existing designs for potential improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical design principles and high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks being preferred.
- Experience with electronic packaging and regulatory compliance.
- A strong understanding of FEA and FMEA methodologies.
