Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will oversee all facets of mechanical engineering throughout various stages of engineering projects. Your focus will be on the analysis, research, design, development, fabrication, and testing of RF/Microwave devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Direct and consult on the mechanical design of high-power RF circuitry.
  • Develop reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective RF and Microwave designs and products.
  • Design, fabricate, modify, and assess mechanical and electronic apparatus.
  • Conduct structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses; prepare and lead design reviews.
  • Manage conceptual and final designs utilizing Autodesk Inventor design tools, analyze equipment to establish operational data, and perform experimental tests.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the mechanical engineering staff, evaluating performance and coordinating engineering functions within the department.
  • Assist the engineering management team with product development planning, prioritizing internal research and development, and exploring new technologies.
  • Evaluate team members, processes, tools, and resource needs to meet engineering and growth objectives; initiate actions to enhance capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Technicians, and the Purchasing Department for product evaluation, debugging, and transitioning from prototype to production.
  • Exhibit ethical and professional conduct in alignment with company values.
  • Perform additional departmental duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Foster a positive work environment through professional and courteous interactions with colleagues, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAE programs is essential, with experience in Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS Icepack being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A proven track record in resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Strong people management skills with experience in coaching and developing technical talent.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities, along with excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Robust analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of RF/Microwave principles, including EMI shielding and high-volume/low-cost manufacturing processes.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
