Business Development Executive
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
As a Business Development Executive, you will collaborate with internal teams to promote GMP Lab services and ensure client success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for GMP lab services across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare industries.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed territory sales targets, driving revenue growth through cross-selling and new service offerings.
- Stay updated on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to tailor business development efforts and propose innovative service solutions.
- Partner with internal teams, including scientific, technical, and operational departments, to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client expectations.
- Deliver presentations to prospective clients to showcase GMP Lab capabilities and how PPD can meet their technical and business needs.
- Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with PPD's business goals.
- Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to represent PPD and develop relationships with potential clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or contract research organization (CRO) industries, with a strong focus on GMP lab services.
- In-depth understanding of GMP regulations, analytical laboratory services, and the drug development lifecycle.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events.
