Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Planning Analyst for a temporary assignment with a dynamic and expanding organization. This role is essential for supporting inventory management through data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze data to provide insights related to inventory management.
  • Assist in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Purchase Orders, Fill Rate, Back Order lines, and Claims Submission/Closure time.
  • Conduct high-level analyses using tools like Excel or Access, summarizing findings for management review.
  • Develop and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) for claims processing.
  • Generate and run database queries based on management's specifications.
  • Engage in the design, testing, and implementation of both short-term and long-term system improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs and guide the team to meet established objectives.
Educational Background
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inventory management.
  • Experience with supplier claims is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to identify issues, propose effective solutions, and follow through to ensure successful outcomes.
Certifications
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification or other related supply chain certifications are advantageous.
Skills
  • Proficiency in inventory planning is essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access is necessary.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, or other SQL tools is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities are crucial.
