About the Job

Nouryon's Morris, IL location is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our operations team. This role is critical to the success of our production units and requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and solutions to production units in Morris, IL
  • Support the Morris mission by identifying optimization opportunities and executing projects to align with business goals
  • Collaborate with shift personnel on technical items, including equipment performance, troubleshooting, and data tracking
  • Develop and implement SOP updates and improvements, PHAs/HAZOPs, MOCs, and CAPEX support for production units
  • Monitor critical process parameters and provide training to operations personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Competencies in basic engineering data, computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.), and software proficiency (JMP/Minitab, ASPEN, HYSIS, Mathlab, PowerBI)
  • Good communication skills, strong troubleshooting abilities, and ability to work outdoors for extended periods
  • Preferred E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification
