Product Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Eaton. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical design and documentation support for power distribution or control product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
- Develop complex drawings and bills-of-material based on established product designs.
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
- Advise drafting/design, manufacturing, and purchasing teams on equipment production.
- Manage purchaser onsite visits and equipment releases.
- Manage manufacturing and engineering change notices.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills and ability to learn required software.
- Consult with quality teams on resolving issues after equipment shipment.
- Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature.
- Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
- Conduct technical training guidance and seminars.
- Analyze needs and recommend revisions to department policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of related experience.
- Degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing internship/co-op experience.
- Knowledge of power distribution products.
- Experience with PLC or relay programming.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Project management experience.
- Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States to an Eaton facility.
- Strong analytical, computer, writing, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of design standards.
