Position Overview:
We are seeking a Value Stream Operations Leader to manage activities within a designated value stream, ensuring effective oversight of personnel and products, maintaining cost control, achieving quality objectives, and adhering to company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct all operations within the assigned value stream(s) and harmonize personnel and equipment to fulfill production timelines.
2. Supervise and efficiently lead teams and products within a division, utilizing established policies, procedures, and corporate strategies to meet production targets.
3. Oversee employee performance, significantly influencing hiring and employment decisions.
4. Collaborate with management to regulate expenses through budget management and cost-saving initiatives; ensure the value stream(s) meets or surpasses corporate benchmarks and that all staff are adequately trained for optimal performance and safety.
5. Strive to achieve quality standards set by the corporation and fulfill customer expectations.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies and support the Steelcase Employee Performance System (SEPS) process with appropriate documentation.

Your Future Team:
You will be part of a comprehensive operations network, supervising daily activities of a team within a department/division.

Qualifications:
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including engineering methods, quality systems, manufacturing technology, capacity analysis, and safety regulations.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to positively influence standardized work, workflow, pull systems, and waste reduction.
- Strong knowledge of personnel management and resource allocation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with employees, departmental staff, and vendors on sensitive matters.
- Capacity to lead productive meetings.
- Proficient in judgment, planning, organization, delegation, analysis, and follow-up.
- Financial literacy, including understanding budgeting, compensation structures, income statements, and project justification.
- Willingness to lead special projects and achieve successful outcomes.
- Effective administration of policies, procedures, laws, and regulations to ensure environmental and labor compliance.
- Demonstrates initiative, resilience under pressure, adaptability, and the ability to make an impact.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proactive in fostering positive relationships among team members and across functions.
- Mentors and coaches employees as appropriate; possesses knowledge and experience in manufacturing support areas.
