Position Overview:
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be instrumental in implementing and executing lean manufacturing principles within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Grasp and apply lean manufacturing methodologies effectively.
• Engage in initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Andon, Heijunka, Genchi Genbutsu, JIT, KPI, RC Analysis, PDCA, and Muda.
• Acquire knowledge of essential components related to Value Stream Production and Support Roles.
• Ensure adherence to all organizational Policies & Procedures.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to perform Workplace Organization / 5S assessments and implement corrective measures.
• Conduct time studies to establish standard work practices.
• Spearhead waste reduction initiatives through Look & See and Gemba walks.
• Construct and assemble part presentation racks, manufacturing aids, and set up tooling shadow boards.
• Facilitate kaizen events under the guidance of the Process Improvement Manager.
• Execute Waste Walks to pinpoint continuous improvement opportunities and coordinate activities such as kaizen events for enhancement.
• Actively advocate for and manage Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department.
• Identify and assess process enhancements on the production floor to elevate departmental performance in key metrics including safety, OAE, scrap, and individual employee productivity.
• Regularly document improvement activities and monitor performance outcomes for validation, in alignment with the Athens Policy Deployment Process.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of all activities within the Athens Policy Deployment folder.
• Prepare procurement information for departmental management review to identify necessary materials, software, and resources for effective Continuous Improvement implementation.
• Mentor and guide employees on foundational practices to enhance line performance with Supervisor support.
• Conduct all OrganizationOS, Workplace Organization, Gemba, and audits as per the established schedule, ensuring completion of action items to meet OrganizationOS standards.
• Willingness to pursue and obtain a Green Belt certification is required.

General Duties:
• Ensure compliance with all EHSMS policies and procedures.
• Educate on safe work practices and foster a culture of safety awareness while enforcing safety protocols and making recommendations as necessary.
• Ensure that company policies and programs are effectively communicated; assist in developing effective communication strategies.
• Promote a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Maintain strong inter-departmental relationships to foster confidence, integrity, and collaboration.

Authority and Compliance:
All employees have the authority to initiate actions to prevent occurrences of non-conformities related to product, process, and quality systems. Employees are empowered to halt work on non-conforming products until deficiencies are addressed. Compliance with the local EH&S policy endorsed by management, adherence to legal and operational controls under EHSMS, and striving towards established objectives and targets are expected.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering fields (other engineering concentrations may be considered with relevant experience).
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering and/or continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
