Job Overview

The Residential Fiber Sales Representative is tasked with promoting and selling our offerings directly to homeowners in designated neighborhoods. In this role, you will be instrumental in broadening our customer base, enhancing sales revenue, and contributing to the overall success of Berks Payment Solutions.

As a Residential Fiber Sales Representative, you will enjoy a competitive base salary along with commission opportunities based on your sales performance.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Sales Manager

Supervises: No direct reports; may lead or train team members.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct door-to-door sales presentations to homeowners, highlighting the advantages and features of our offerings, engaging in sales activities outside the office up to 90% of the time.
  2. Identify and prospect potential customers in assigned residential areas, employing strategic methods to initiate conversations and secure sales appointments.
  3. Inform homeowners about the benefits of our products/services while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  4. Tailor sales pitches to meet the specific needs and preferences of individual homeowners, aiming for effective sales closures.
  5. Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales activities, and leads in the designated CRM system.
  6. Achieve or surpass weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets established by the Sales Manager.
  7. Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to refine sales strategies, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
  8. Engage in regular sales training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  9. Represent Berks Payment Solutions in a professional and ethical manner, adhering to all company policies and industry regulations.
  10. Deliver exceptional customer service and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any post-sale inquiries.
  11. Driving responsibilities include traveling to various locations within the network footprint, sometimes accompanied by a partner, to engage in direct sales.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present effectively to homeowners or various groups.
  • Outstanding customer service capabilities.
  • Ability to assess situations and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Willingness to learn CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to reside near or commute to a Berks Payment Solutions office.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with:
    • A Bachelor's degree or a relevant combination of experience and education.
    • Experience in sales, particularly in door-to-door or direct sales roles.
Working Environment
  • 12pm to 8pm, 40 hours per week.
  • Combination of office environment and outside sales, with 10% office time and 90% outside sales.
  • Regular travel within the network footprint for outside sales activities.
  • Potential access to a company vehicle; mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use.
  • Occasional travel for industry conventions or training sessions.
