We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Care Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Southtown Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients to identify their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Prescribe and manage medication regimens, ensuring patient safety and compliance, and monitor patient progress to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to help patients achieve their recovery goals and maintain long-term sobriety.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between treatment phases.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
- Experience in addiction psychiatry or substance abuse treatment preferred.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric medications and their interactions with substances of abuse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
