Role Overview

Position Summary
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Mechanical and Preparation Department at Idiada Automotive Technology, focusing on vehicle dynamic safety assessments. Your primary responsibility will involve preparing vehicles for safety evaluations across various testing domains within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in vehicle crash preparation and post-evaluation tasks.
  • Install and validate necessary equipment for vehicle assessments, including electronic sensors, equipment racks, camera stands, ballast weights, and other testing apparatus.
  • Document vehicle measurements accurately.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
  • Conduct vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members.
  • Support test teams in the setup and execution of assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of work areas, including log notes, check sheets, and inventory records.
  • Identify and implement innovative tools, methods, or processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and timing.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; a two-year technical degree or two or more years of automotive service and mechanical experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to work.

Additional Information:

  • Must be physically capable of supporting test preparation and execution in outdoor settings.
  • Flexible schedule required, with the ability to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
