This position involves on-site planning responsibilities for a significant transformation initiative, which encompasses the decommissioning of existing coal-powered units and the establishment of new natural gas-powered electricity generation units with the capability to utilize hydrogen, achieving a net generation output of 840 megawatts. Additionally, it includes the modernization of a Transmission System.

The focus of this role is on the substation and converter station components of the project.

This professional will be stationed full-time on-site. A background in scheduling and earned value management is essential. This role does not include direct reports, although occasional travel to another project site may be necessary.
Eligible professionals may receive a per diem of (USD)125/day for travel exceeding 50 miles from the site.

This senior-level position requires comprehensive expertise in planning and scheduling, as well as field project assignments, based on training and experience.

The individual will provide mentorship to junior project staff and will take on a leadership role.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead the project control function effectively and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

The role includes leading project forecasting efforts, identifying issues, and advising the project team on factors impacting project execution. The individual will oversee project controls scheduling, ensuring that constructability is integrated into the planning process and that key cost control measures are applied. They will establish systems to monitor work status and proactively identify issues, collaborating with the management team to address challenges.

Qualifications:

All candidates must be prepared to fulfill pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record assessments, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.


Educational Background:

A four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.

Alternatively, a four-year Bachelor's degree with a minimum of six years of relevant experience in Cost Control or Planning and Scheduling, or eight years of relevant experience without a degree, is acceptable.
