Position Overview
The Project Coordination Specialist will provide essential support to the Project Manager in executing project-related tasks, ensuring timely follow-up on deliverables, and collaborating closely with the PM. This role encompasses the orchestration of engineering, estimating, project controls, client presentations, procurement, and construction operations throughout the various phases of project development and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the coordination of engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction efforts during project development and execution.
  • Assists the Project Manager in crafting the initial project timeline in collaboration with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management teams.
  • Engages in value engineering and constructability assessments.
  • Collaborates with procurement to formulate subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedule exhibits for PM review prior to processing.
  • Works alongside Safety personnel on all safety-related matters, including the creation and implementation of project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and supporting incident investigations.
  • Supports the Project Manager with project scheduling and aids in the preparation of monthly project review reports for the project management team and senior leadership.
  • Conducts financial reviews and project closeouts on a monthly basis to support project objectives.
  • Assists with RFI submissions utilizing the document management system.
  • Provides constructive feedback to enhance the quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative project deliverables.
  • Facilitates the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
  • Monitors the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Oversees project close-out and warranty administration processes.
  • Conducts post-construction cost evaluations and reporting, participating in lessons learned sessions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager, including acting in the PM's capacity when necessary.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Experience in EPC/design build and the Power Delivery sector (substation, transmission & distribution).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction project management, covering various aspects such as planning, engineering, estimating, bidding, and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, and document management.

Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the project design process.
  • Knowledge of the integrated EPC process.
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
