Position Overview
In this role, you will be an integral member of the Idiada Automotive Technology's mechanical and preparation department, contributing to vehicle dynamic safety assessments. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare vehicles for safety evaluations across various testing domains within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in vehicle crash preparation and subsequent activities.
  • Install and validate necessary equipment for vehicle assessments, including electronic sensors, equipment racks, camera supports, ballast weights, and other testing apparatus.
  • Document vehicle measurements accurately.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
  • Conduct vehicle disassembly and reassembly tasks.
  • Assign daily responsibilities to team members.
  • Support testing teams in the setup and execution of assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of work areas, including logs, checklists, and inventory records.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of new tools, methods, or processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and timelines.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; a two-year technical degree or two or more years of automotive service and mechanical experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.

Additional Information:

  • Must be physically capable of supporting test preparation and execution in outdoor settings.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including extended hours and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Compliance with all workplace health and safety standards.
