Field Sales Development Manager

Join Staples, Inc. as a Field Sales Executive in Missouri and drive revenue growth in the public sector (SLED) and commercial market.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with our team of sales professionals and contribute to the success of our customers. As a Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships with new customers, identifying sales opportunities, and closing deals. Your primary focus will be on driving conversion of $1M in new revenue from new customers while developing programs to drive sales growth in our public sector (SLED) and commercial markets.
Key Responsibilities- BUILD TERRITORY PENETRATION STRATEGY: Develop a plan to penetrate the market and increase sales in your assigned territory.
- ANALYZE PERFORMANCE AND SHIFT STRATEGY: Continuously analyze individual performance and adjust strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- QUALIFY PROSPECTS: Qualify prospects based on customer size, spend, and potential, and route opportunities to fellow sales team members based on sales qualifiers.
- SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS AND MEET WITH CUSTOMERS: Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers to present Quill values and solutions.
- UTILIZE MARKETING COLLATERAL: Utilize marketing collateral to build engaging and meaningful presentations to drive prospect engagement and conversion.
- ATTEND EVENTS: Attend conferences, tradeshows, and events representing Quill and winning new customers.
- CUSTOM PRICING SOLUTIONS: Create and present custom pricing solutions to potential high-growth commercial customers.
- Leverage education contracts, including Cooperative Purchasing partnerships and Bids, to acquire new education customers or drive growth for existing customers.
- ENSURE SMOOTH TRANSITION: Ensure smooth transition to the account management team upon customer commitment.
- METRIC TARGETS: Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 4+ years of field sales experience.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Self-starter results-oriented approach.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to adapt to change.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
