Job Summary

The physician is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating health problems, and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork within the Corewell Health System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, ensuring a culture of compassion, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Assess and monitor patient medical needs, providing quality care in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and ongoing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical paths, process improvements, and other initiatives that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree in medicine (MD) or osteopathic medicine (DO)
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the State of Michigan
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
