Collaboration and Care
The nursing staff collaborates closely with the Intensivist and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver care and provide daily updates regarding patient progress.

Scope of Work
The Registered Nurse, operating under the ANA scope of practice, employs the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care. This includes incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and facilitate discharge.

The RN ensures quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, while recognizing the influence of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on health outcomes.

The RN engages with patients and families to incorporate their input and objectives into the care plan, developing educational strategies for patient and family learning, and documenting this education appropriately in the health record.

Qualifications
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within 5 years
• Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, along with successful completion of the NCLEX licensure examination.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years

Work Schedule
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Shift: Night
• Weekly Scheduled Hours: 36
• Days Worked: Variable
• Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend
