Role Overview: The Site Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all safety-related activities within the designated branch office, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold EH&S protocols in alignment with both company and client standards.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings to promote awareness and preparedness among team members.
  • Manage and coordinate necessary permits, including hot work and lockout/tagout procedures, in collaboration with project teams.
  • Perform regular audits and observations to ensure adherence to safety practices.
  • Assist project teams with EH&S reporting and deliverables to clients.
  • Facilitate task-specific training sessions in conjunction with project management and EH&S teams.
  • Identify and plan for the execution of hazardous tasks, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
  • Proactively recognize hazardous conditions and recommend solutions to enhance safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily crew sizes and personnel for accountability during emergencies.
  • Direct and oversee all safety initiatives from the branch office with minimal oversight from corporate management.
  • Develop and enhance the skills of site safety professionals.
  • Conduct health and safety training programs, maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Perform facility inspections and safety audits, reporting findings to corporate management.
  • Lead the development and implementation of site-specific safety programs to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Provide tools and resources to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with branch management to integrate safety into all project management activities.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of safety procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and injuries, documenting findings and using them as learning opportunities.
  • Organize and participate in branch safety committee meetings, providing guidance as needed.
  • Manage inventory and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: The role involves a mix of office and fieldwork, with exposure to various environmental conditions. Candidates must be capable of navigating diverse work environments, including warehouses and construction sites, and must be comfortable using PPE and lifting up to fifty pounds. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces and elevated positions.
