Job Overview

The Automation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Robotics Division. This role involves managing technical workflows associated with automation, manufacturing, and production processes. The individual will assist in formulating recommendations that align departmental objectives with the overarching corporate goals, particularly concerning capital investments, labor, and operational expenses related to Automation across the U.S. facility, while also influencing global practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to department heads and staff, including indirect reports within the Automation team.
  • Establish a collaborative work environment and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for personnel involved in technical automation processes, in collaboration with Group Leaders.
  • Create, maintain, and update all Technical Specifications (TS) and ISO procedures relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Facilitate the training of all necessary personnel on established processes and procedures.
  • Participate in leadership committees as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent foreign degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a PLC Programmer.

Required Certifications:

PLC technical certification is mandatory.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface).
  • 2 years of experience in Electrical Panels and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • 2 years of experience in Robot Motion Control.
  • 2 years of experience with Servo Motion Control Systems.
  • 2 years of experience in interpreting Electrical and Mechanical Schematics.
  • 2 years of experience in Ladder logic programming for various PLC brands.
  • 2 years of experience with PLC networks, communications, and interfacing various hardware and software devices.
  • 2 years of experience with PNP and NPN switches, AC and DC Circuits, E-Stop Circuits, and motor functions.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires 20% international travel.
