As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing intensive economic development-related services to our clients, helping them achieve short-term and intermediate outcomes towards longer-term education, employment, and stabilization goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Economic Development Strategies: Work with clients to develop individualized economic development plans, providing guidance on budgeting, financial goal setting, debt management, and access to resources.
- Provide Access to Resources: Coordinate and provide access to program activities and resources at onsite computer labs, including classes and workshops, to support clients in achieving their economic development goals.
- Case Management and Advocacy: Provide intensive case management and advocacy services to clients, connecting them with local and area resources for education, employment, legal, housing, health, and other community services.
- Collaborate with Direct Service Staff: Work closely with direct service staff to provide training and up-to-date information sharing on developing strategies to address economic obstacles and access resources.
- Hotline and On-Call Coverage: Provide hotline, on-call, walk-in, intake, and court-based coverage to support clients in crisis.
- Record Keeping and Data Management: Accurately record daily data on services and client progress in our organizational data management system.
- Economic Development Knowledge: Above-average knowledge of economic, education, and housing-related resources and tools necessary to support client success.
- Supervision and Collaboration Skills: Effective, supportive, and culturally competent supervision skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with direct service staff and other stakeholders.
- Community Collaboration: Ability to develop and maintain strategic community collaborations relevant to economic development work.
- Culturally Competent Approach: Demonstrated understanding of culturally competent, strength-based strategies within an anti-racism, and economic and social justice framework.
