Position Title: Senior Controls Engineer

Position Summary:

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation across major supply chain networks in North America. Our engineers possess a diverse skill set, including software engineering, mechanical engineering, controls engineering, solutions design, and strong communication and leadership abilities. You will collaborate with a variety of teams, ensuring trust and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to transform concepts into practical solutions.
  • Work closely with various teams to integrate conveyor control systems, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles.
  • Create and maintain detailed electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Develop and troubleshoot control system software.
  • Provide technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering.
  • Offer on-site commissioning support as needed.
  • Execute necessary electrical field wiring.
  • Conduct mechanical installations when required.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering with a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years with a Master's degree.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in developing PLC programs from the ground up.
  • Skilled in reading schematics and troubleshooting existing control systems, including software debugging and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Proficient with Studio 5000/RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD.
  • Able to lead or assist in project definition, specification, and installation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in both software and hardware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting servo drives.
  • Familiarity with SQL Management.
  • Understanding of computer networking concepts and architecture.
  • Experience in warehouse operations management or familiarity with warehouse management and execution systems.
