Position: Senior Automation Engineer
Location: Remote

As a Senior Automation Engineer at RIT Solutions, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our automation frameworks and integrated systems to align with operational demands. Your expertise will be crucial in the following areas:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand user stories and constraints for effective automation design.
  • Identifying and documenting defects, tracking issues, and partnering with development teams for resolution.
  • Utilizing scripting languages such as Python, UNIX shell, HCL, YAML, and JSON for system design and development.
  • Engaging in application development using Java and JavaScript.
  • Applying your in-depth knowledge of various infrastructure automation tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
  • Implementing and supporting DevOps tools, with a focus on GIT and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrating automation solutions with existing IT tools and platforms for seamless operations.
  • Adopting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to establish a consistent and repeatable infrastructure management process.
  • Monitoring and maintaining automation scripts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Establishing best practices for automation development and operational efficiency.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IT infrastructure automation.
  • Working closely with customers, developers, and stakeholders to devise effective automation solutions.
  • Documenting your work and sharing insights with team members.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in developing, building, and deploying cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation, particularly with Terraform.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Rancher, Docker, K8S, and EKS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks and tools, including Gitlab, Artifactory, and Ansible.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • A solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in a SaaS-based product development environment or within an FDA-regulated medical device context is preferred.
