Job Summary

Quantum Research International, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise network and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Ensure the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
  • Server Management: Install, maintain, configure, and ensure the integrity of server hardware and software.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor and control the performance and status of network resources.
  • Operating System Enhancements: Implement operating system enhancements to improve the reliability and performance of the system.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and promote standard operating procedures.
  • Configuration Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Systems Administration, Engineering, or equivalent field of study.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in system administration, or 7 years of experience with certifications in areas such as Microsoft M365 tenant management, Entra ID, InTune, Defender, Windows Server Administration, and PowerShell.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft M365 tenant management, Entra ID, InTune, Defender, Windows Server Administration, PowerShell, Kerberos, CIFS, NFS, RDP, WMI, and configuration management using Ansible.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, MCSA/MCSE.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance.
Preferred Skills
  • Windows Skills: PowerShell scripts, Windows imaging using WinPE, Windows inventory management.
  • VMWare Skills: Deployment of Vcenter and Vsphere, Vsphere monitoring and management.
  • Additional Skills: SolarWinds network and systems monitoring, Duo multi-factor authentication, NetApp storage configuration and management, Commvault backup solution.
