Position: System/Network Administration 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of both classified and unclassified systems and networks in accordance with relevant MDA and DoD directives.
  • Ensure that IT systems and networks are operationally effective for all support and operational activities.
  • Provide expert technical guidance regarding IT processes and operations, adhering to applicable MDA and DoD security regulations, technical directives, and established protocols.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of user accounts, profiles, privileges, and the overall security of the network and systems.
  • Proactively identify potential IT issues and implement preventive strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise documentation related to Information Technology processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and on-demand system backups and recovery operations.
  • Maintain IT databases and execute programming tasks associated with system administration.
  • Research, assess, and recommend new and emerging IT technologies to enhance and support MDDC Program requirements.
  • Assist colleagues engaged in system and network administration tasks.
  • Support the integration and testing of complex, large-scale networks.
  • Investigate and propose new hardware solutions for integration into the existing network.
  • Perform Systems Administrative functions within a multi-tiered Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Provide support for SCCM in software installations and patch management.
  • Possess a solid understanding of network administration tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Windows 10 Operating System and Windows Server versions 2012R2/2016/2019/2022.
  • Exhibit expertise in Windows Active Directory, Windows Group Policy, STIG evaluations and implementations, and SCCM.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively communicating across all organizational levels, collaborating closely with project leads and team members.
  • This position requires 100% on-site presence; telework is not an option.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess/maintain a government-issued Secret Clearance.
  • Must hold and maintain a CompTIA Security + CE Certification.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of pertinent work experience.
  • Possession of a Secret Clearance.
