As a Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the MDA team with expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring seamless delegation of tasks to existing team members.
  • Coordinate support with internal program elements to provide additional System Administrator support as needed.
  • Work closely with engineers to provide high-quality, innovative system administration services to the Government customer.
  • Effectively interface with Government customers, ensuring professional communication and task execution.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, develop designs, and implement and test solutions.
  • Ensure daily system monitoring, system backup and restoration, and application upgrades to maintain optimal system operations.
  • Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cybersecurity mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Assist in Systems Administrator tasks as mission requirements dictate.
  • Develop and maintain system administration plans, procedures, processes, and baseline configuration documentation.
  • Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective and efficient interactions with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 10 years of general experience; Master's degree and 8 years of general experience.
  • Must have 8 years of experience as a System Administrator, with direct experience including:
    • Working directly with MDA users
    • Working with virtual environments using VMware
    • Building, handling, and sustaining user accounts
    • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
    • Working with Citrix, knowledge of Director and its functions
    • Managing Windows Active Directory
  • Must have 2 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (CCNA-Security CySA+ (formerly CSA+), GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP).
  • Must have a current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment using Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) Servers.
  • Working knowledge of the Dell Wyse Manager, for deployment, software, bios upgrades of Dell zero clients.
  • Experience conducting log analysis to assess root cause analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Virtualization infrastructure.
  • DoD networking experience with classified data networks and strong grasp of red/black concepts and IA compliance.
  • Experience supporting enterprise web services (EWS) clients in their suites.
  • Experience utilizing the IRES developed Remedy application.
