Position Overview

The Custodial Services Specialist for Supportive Housing will deliver essential cleaning services aimed at enhancing the overall case management experience for tenants. This role is focused on assisting residents in achieving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within their living spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement educational modules that promote cleanliness, tailored to the unique needs and capabilities of participants, while fostering essential life skills. Conduct these sessions in various formats, including individual, small group, and larger group settings to ensure effective learning and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Engage in thorough cleaning of tenant units, which encompasses sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces, including the safe disposal of biohazard materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with team members, including case notes and the transfer of critical client information, along with other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors. Track client engagement in activities and custodial services using the designated database.
  • Assist clients in acquiring life skills necessary for effective pest control management.
  • Collaborate with Tenant Services Coordinators to develop and disseminate a monthly activity calendar, ensuring information is accessible through bulletin boards and newsletters.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary service meetings, providing updates on client progress and attending relevant organizational meetings to receive referrals.
  • Acquire and apply sanitation techniques that safeguard public health within the facility and minimize the risk of disease transmission, pest infestations, and other health hazards.
  • Complete all assigned training and adhere to organizational policies in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as required, which may include supporting other programs within the supportive housing framework.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working with underserved communities or in a case management capacity.
  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, possess a valid driver's license, and have a clean driving record.
Participation in annual health screenings, including Tuberculosis testing, is required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided as necessary.
