JOB TITLE: Custodial Assistant at the Exploratorium
This position involves ensuring cleanliness and hygiene within the museum environment. As a Custodial Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Custodial Supervisor/Manager. Adaptability is essential as you may be assigned to various shifts and may need to work additional hours when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize custodial machinery such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops
- Adhere to safety regulations pertinent to custodial operations
- Maintain cleanliness in diverse areas including restrooms, educational spaces, and outdoor facilities
- Properly manage waste disposal and recycling
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap dispensers
- Perform other custodial tasks as directed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 6 months of experience in custodial services or completion of fundamental custodial training
- Ability to comprehend and execute straightforward instructions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Candidates must be capable of fulfilling the physical requirements of the role, which includes lifting and carrying items weighing up to 35 lbs, pushing and pulling loads up to 50 lbs, as well as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
