Position Overview

Job Title: Business Development Center Representative

Department: Business Development Center

Reports to: Internet Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Role Summary: This position involves engaging with clients through various communication channels to arrange appointments for them to visit the dealership. The representative will perform the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address customer inquiries from the online lead system, collecting essential information regarding their vehicle preferences, trade-in details, and purchasing objectives.
  • Utilize the existing customer database to identify potential interests in additional vehicle purchases, reaching out via email, phone, and text.
  • Conduct research to compile lists of prospective clients.
  • Identify and assess business opportunities.
  • Follow up on sales leads and initiate contact with potential clients.
  • Coordinate appointments for customers to meet with sales representatives at the dealership.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Internet Director.
  • Implement a follow-up system to encourage repeat business and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in prospect development by sending follow-up communications to potential customers.
  • Adhere to established prospecting protocols and procedures.
  • Stay informed about new products, features, and industry trends.
  • Participate in scheduled sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Achieve or surpass established performance metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with colleagues and clients. Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting instructions. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence, including grammatically correct emails and messages. Ability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from management and clients.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Demonstrates the ability to anticipate and resolve practical issues.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to work five days a week, for 8 to 10 hours each day. Regular communication is required. Frequent walking, reaching, and sitting are necessary. The role may involve lifting up to 25 pounds for filing or storing materials.

The employee must possess strong keyboarding skills and may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in an office environment with a moderate noise level. The primary environment includes standard room temperatures, lighting, and office equipment.
