About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Cancer Biology Research Director to join our team at General Proximity. As a key member of our Biology Team, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our research efforts, working closely with our Platform Team to develop our core drug discovery technology.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead phenotypic assays for cancer drug discovery
  • Establish and manage pre-clinical in vitro/in vivo studies
  • Conduct mechanistic studies on lead drug molecules
  • Spearhead new oncology indications and grant writing
Requirements
  • PhD in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of industry experience
  • Deep understanding of small-molecule drug discovery and its relationship to human disease
  • Strong experience with mechanistic studies of cancer cell signaling, PTM analysis, and phenotypic assay development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with small molecule drug development campaigns, including hit discovery, validation, and dose-response studies
  • Excellent cellular and molecular biology knowledge, including cancer cell lines, stable cell line generation, and RNA-Seq
  • Top-notch written and oral communication skills
